Faith 101
We are never too old to begin or continue to grow in our faith.
The best place to start is with our questions.
Do not be content with easy answers.
When it comes to God, it's often more about mystery than certainties.
Be willing to live with questions, but don't stop seeking.
For God is the author of our longing.
Any relationship we have with God is always
because God loved us first.

What is Faith?Faith as believing the right things is not only a modern distortion, but in many ways it is absolutely impotent in our lives. You can believe all the right things and still be a jerk. You can believe all the right things and still be miserable. Faith as believing, that is believing with our head, is really pretty impotent. So let me turn to the three more ancient and authentic meanings of faith.

Who Do You Say that I Am?
What image of Jesus speaks to you?
How do you encounter Jesus in your life?
How do you encounter Jesus in your life?
What words would you use to describe Jesus?
Do I have to believe that Christ literally rose from the dead to be a Christian? No, I don’t think that to be a Christian we have to believe that Christ literally, bodily rose from the dead and that he literally, bodily ascended into heaven. Yet I do believe that these words are our best attempt to give expression to an experience which was true to the followers of Jesus in his time, and is still true to those of us who engage with Jesus in heart, mind and spirit still today.
